Privacy Policy — YTMP3X
Last updated: September 29, 2026
This policy covers the YTMP3X app for Android and this page. The app saves a video or an audio file from a link you paste. The file stays on your phone.
Read this before you use the app. If you do not agree with it, do not install the app, or delete it if it is already installed.
1. Who We Are
YTMP3X is the name of the app. If you have a question about this policy, contact us at privacy@ytmp3x.app.
2. What We Do Not Ask For
- You do not need an account. There is no login and no password.
- We do not ask for your name, phone number, contacts, camera, microphone, or location. We do not ask for a payment card. There is nothing to buy in the app.
- Feedback has an email field. It is optional. Leave it empty if you do not want a reply.
3. The Link You Paste
When you fetch a file, the app sends that link to our server at api.ytmp3x.app. The server uses the link to prepare the file. The app then saves the file on your phone.
We do not keep a public page of what you downloaded. We do not sell a list of your links.
4. A Random Install ID
The first time you open the app, it creates a random ID and stores it on the phone. We send that ID with a download request and with feedback. It lets us tell one install from another, and it lets us limit how much one install can ask for.
That ID is not your Google account, and it is not your name. Clear the app data, or uninstall the app, and the ID is gone from the phone. The next install gets a new one.
5. Your IP Address
A request to our server includes the IP address of the connection. We use it to run the service and to slow down misuse. We do not use it to look up your home address.
6. Feedback
Settings has a feedback form. If you send it, we receive:
- The message you wrote
- The app version
- The phone maker and model
- The Android version
- The install ID
- Your email (only if you typed one)
We read those messages to fix problems. If you left an email, we may reply to it. We do not put you on a mailing list.
7. A Short Human Check
Before a download, or before feedback is sent, the app may show a short check so we can tell a person from a script. Cloudflare provides that check. We receive a pass or fail result. We do not receive your browsing history from it.
Cloudflare's own privacy policy covers what they process during the check: Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
8. Google Play
The app may ask Google Play whether the copy you installed is a normal Play install. If Play returns a result, we send it with the download request. This is to cut down abuse. It is not a list of the videos on your phone.
9. Notifications
We ask for permission to send notifications after you have downloaded a file, not the moment you open the app. You can say no.
If you allow them, Google Firebase Cloud Messaging creates a token so a notice can reach the phone. The app also joins a general topic, and a topic for the language you chose, so a notice can be sent in that language. We do not read your other notifications.
You can turn notifications off later in Android settings. A tap opens the app. If the notice contains an ordinary HTTPS link, that page opens in the browser. Tapping a notice does not start a download.
Your language choice stays on the phone. The language topic is only that language code.
10. Files on Your Phone
Saved files go to the YTMP3X folder inside Downloads. They are yours. Uninstalling the app does not always remove that folder. Delete the folder yourself if you want the files gone.
The app does not upload those saved files back to us.
11. Ads
The app is free and it shows ads. This version uses Google AdMob and Meta Audience Network.
To show an ad, measure it, and limit fraud, those companies may receive:
- Your advertising ID (the resettable ID Android provides for ads)
- Your IP address
- Basic device details, such as the model and language
In the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, Google's consent form can appear before ads are requested. You can refuse personalized ads there. On any phone you can reset your advertising ID, or turn off ad personalization, in Android settings under Google, then Ads.
We do not sell your personal information.
Third-Party Privacy Policies:
12. Who Else Receives Data
- Our Server: To prepare a file and to read feedback.
- Google: For ads, the consent form, the Play check, and notifications.
- Meta: For ads.
- Cloudflare: For the human check.
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information if a law requires it, or if we have to stop abuse of the service.
13. How Long We Keep It
- Install ID: Stays on the phone until you clear app data or uninstall.
- Downloaded Files: Stay in your Downloads folder until you delete them.
- Feedback: Stays so we can read it and fix the app. Email privacy@ytmp3x.app if you want a message deleted. Tell us the approximate date and, if you left one, the email you used. Without that, one message can be hard to find among the rest.
- Server Logs: Can include an IP address and the link you sent. We keep them only while we need them to operate the app and handle abuse. We do not use them to build an advertising profile of you.
14. Security
The app talks to our server over HTTPS. Keep your phone locked. Do not put passwords or card numbers in a feedback message.
15. Children
YTMP3X is not made for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you are a parent and you believe your child sent us feedback, email us and we will delete it.
16. Your Choices
- You can refuse notifications, skip the email field, reset your advertising ID, and delete the app and the YTMP3X download folder.
- EEA / UK Residents: If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or a country with a similar rule, you can ask us for the feedback we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. We will reply within a reasonable time.
- California Residents: If you live in California, you can ask what personal information we collected and whether we sold it. We do not sell personal information. Ads in the app may still be personalized by Google and Meta. You can limit that in Android ad settings or in the consent form when the app shows it.
17. Other Sites
The page behind a link you paste, and any page opened from a notification, is not run by us. That site has its own privacy policy. YTMP3X is not affiliated with those sites, and we do not control them.
Only save a file if you have the right to save it. If the site or the owner does not allow the download, do not use the app for that file. What you choose to download is your responsibility.
18. Changes
If this policy changes, we will change the date at the top and replace the text at https://ytmp3x.app/play-privacy-policy. If you keep using the app after that, the new text applies.
